Delete your Proof Hunter account
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to do it. Either way it is permanent.
Delete it in the app
- Open Proof Hunter and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and the deletion runs immediately.
Or ask us to delete it
Email us from the address you signed up with, or tell us the sign-in method you used (Apple, Google, or email). We verify it is your account and delete it within 7 days.

What is deleted
- Your profile: display name, hunter handle, email address, sign-in identifiers, age confirmation, settings.
- Your hunt list, alert ranges, hunt location, and push-notification tokens.
- Your ratings and notes.
- Your sightings and the photos you submitted.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Backups — deleted data can persist in database backups for up to 30 days before those backups expire.
- Aggregate community data — bottle counts, typical prices, and regional trends that no longer identify you.
- Moderation, fraud, and legal records — kept only as long as reasonably necessary to protect the service or meet a legal obligation.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a Proof Hunter Pro subscription. Cancel it first in your device’s subscription settings (iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions), or you may keep being billed.
